Answer me when I call,
God of my righteousness;
Have pity if I fall,
Giving me blessedness.
You freed me from trouble,
Hearing me through my prayer;
Pulling from the rubble,
Showing me that you care.
The important people,
Insulted my honor;
When I preach the Gospel,
They treat it as horror.
How long are you to love,
What is an empty lie;
Letting it from above,
Flow on those who deny.
Know that the Lord calls on,
Those that He has chosen;
Like morning dew at dawn,
Or the lake as frozen.
The Lord hears when I call,
Tremble and do not sin;
In spring the lake will thaw,
As His love warms within.
Commune with your heart,
On your bed and be still;
Enabled to impart,
Letting His love to fill.
Offer the sacrifice,
By trusting our Lord;
Let not the world entice,
Temptation is ignored.
Who can show what is good?
Let His light to shine through;
Shining His glory would,
Will reflect what is true.
God puts joy in my heart,
Falling asleep in peace;
For a new life to start,
A new wine will increase.
