Forget not Laws

Date:

Do not forget what you are taught,
They will help you what you have sought;
And keeping His commands in mind,
Will help you for staying aligned.

Because they will bring you long life,
Coping through in the midst of strife;
For continuing good years and peace,
Bringing hostilities to cease.

Do not let mercy and truth leave,
Embrace it continue to cleave;
And fasten them around your neck,
Constantly review to recheck.

Write them on the pad of your heart,
So that they will never depart;
Then you find favor and success.
In the sight of God who will bless.

Trust in the Lord with all your heart,
Praising Him each day as you start;
Do not rely on understanding,
As what each day is demanding.

In all your ways acknowledge God,
Worship as you honor and laud;
And He will ensure a smooth path,
While sparing you from His wrath.

Do not consider yourself wise,
Your thoughts can easily disguise;
Fear the Lord as you turn away,
Evil will be making you stray.

Your body is able to be healed,
With a harvest giving high yield;
As your bones having nourishment,
Success in your accomplishment.

Honor the Lord tithing your wealth,
He will give you spiritual health;
With the first and cream of the crop,
Rewarding blessings will not stop.

Then your barn will be bountiful,
Since the harvest was plentiful;
All of your vats will overflow,
As God continues to bestow.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
