Faith led Noah to hear,
When God warned him about;
The things that he may fear,
The future that he doubt.
But he obeyed and built,
A ship to save his kin;
Everyone with guilt,
Would merely drown in sin.
Faith had led Abraham,
To heed a call from God;
Not for giving a lamb,
Rather his son unflawed.
He left his own nation,
For an inheritance;
A promised elation,
Because of penitence.
He had lived in a tent,
As Isaac and Jacob;
Who also did repent,
Watched over by cherub.
He looked for the city,
That God designed and built;
So shiny and pretty,
That will be free from guilt.
Faith endowed him to be,
A father at his age;
Of a son for to see,
At such of a late stage.
And to think that his wife,
At her age giving birth;
A child in her life,
The oldest on the earth.
Having faith when they died,
The promise not received;
But knew God never lied,
Homeward bound they believed.
Once this life has ended,
Their spirit continues;
And will be transcended,
Onto His avenues.
