Marathon Prayers

Date:

I am asking you to show,
Gratitude to your leaders;
Appreciate for what they know,
As knowledgeable feeders.

I am asking to love them,
Thinking highly with respect;
Try not ever to condemn,
Their ideas do not reject.

For the work every day,
As to what they are doing;
Need many people to pray,
For what they are pursuing.

Live in peace with each other,
Observe how they are living;
Teach your sister and brother,
While being forgiving.

Never try to discourage,
Assist them when they are weak;
Cheer them up to encourage,
Solutions that they may seek.

Remember to be joyful,
As you never stop praying;
While remaining faithful,
To God what you are saying.

Control your own desire,
Lock them up after have sealed;
Feel the heat from His fire,
Scorn not what God has revealed.

May the God who gives you peace,
Make you holy through each day;
And that temptation will cease,
Intercession as you pray.

Greet your sisters and brothers,
Promoting them the good will;
Greet with a kiss to others,
Or holy hugs to instill.

So continue to rejoice,
And praying without ceasing;
While lifting up your voice,
As your faith is increasing.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
