Not Me

Date:

The end is very near,
Practice self-control;
God who you revere,
Protecting your soul.

The end is at hand,
So keep your mind clear;
Obey His command,
His Word that you hear.

The end will be nigh,
If you not obey;
You will start to cry,
For going astray.

Love one another,
For love covers sin;
Helping each other,
The way to begin.

Please keep your mind clear,
So that you can pray;
And always revere,
So you can obey.

Welcome each other,
Without complaining;
Treating your brother,
Relations gaining.

Each of you are good,
And must use the gift;
That God gives that could,
Serve that will uplift.

Be cordial each day,
In all that you do;
Tempted not to stray,
And remaining true.

The gift you receive,
So you can go preach;
On what you believe,
Helps you to out-reach.

Whoever must speak,
Always speak His Word;
God gives what you seek,
Heed to what is heard.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
