Perfection

Date:

That which was from the beginning,
As life existed in the Word;
And humans had started sinning,
For what we have seen and have heard.

We observe and also touch,
As this life to us has revealed;
Knowing that His love is so much,
More than we are able to yield.

Perfection in which we have seen,
And we can testify about;
Because what is now and has been,
That could never leave any doubt.

We bear witness also declare,
Eternal life from the Father;
A relationship that we share,
With Jesus as our Brother.

Because these items that I write,
That our joy may be made full;
As we remain within His light,
Letting His perfection rule.

I tell you that God is pure light,
Without any darkness at all;
As perfected as it is bright,
Will never be letting you fall.

If we say we have fellowship,
With the Lord but walk in the dark;
We are lying and we will trip,
Wherever that we may embark.

If we say that we have no sin,
Just ourselves that we deceive;
And we have not the discipline,
With the truth that we can believe.

If we regret as we confess,
Of the actions that we have done;
God is compassionate will bless,
To forgive because of His Son.

For if we say we never sin,
We would turn God into a liar;
And do not have the discipline,
That would keep us from the fire.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
