I went to the city,
And was there for three days;
The skyline was pretty,
On all that it displays.
Over night, I went out,
With a few other men;
For shedding any doubt,
What had happened back then.
Back when God inspired,
Ready to change my ways;
Since I had desired,
Rid of my world that strays.
The car I had driven,
As I went through the gate;
It looked just like Heaven,
To go I cannot wait.
But walls were broken down,
And other gates were burned;
Made my smile to frown,
Because of what I learned.
With passing through the gate,
I came up to the pool;
And I saw it was late,
As the weather turned cool.
I went through the valley,
Examining the wall;
Which followed an alley,
When I heard the Lord call.
Rebuild the wall He told,
Build the wall much stronger;
The old wall was too old,
Keep strangers out longer.
See evil in this case,
The status we are in;
If we keep at this pace,
We will not rid the sin.
Let us begin to build,
Encourage each other;
Because it was God willed,
Work with one another.
