Tell believers to live,
A life that goes along;
Teachings that will forgive,
When you have done so wrong.
Tell men to stay sober,
So to make good judgment;
In both leisure and labor,
For good intentions meant.
Sound faith and endurance,
Compassion flows thereof;
Giving the assurance,
Of persevering love.
Tell women to live lives,
Dedicated to God;
As good mothers and wives,
To show honor and laud.
Show judgment that is good,
Being morally pure;
Doing as Jesus would,
Not tempted by a lure.
So be an example,
Showing morality;
A heavenly sample,
As pure with dignity.
Use the saving kindness,
That is a benefit;
For curing your blindness,
From immoral merit.
It trains us to avoid,
Ungodly desires;
That Satan has deployed,
For lighting your fires.
Expect what you hope for,
Through our great Savior;
And the Lord will assure,
Blessings in your favor.
