Shadow of His Wings

Date:

Be silent and listen to me,
Let the people increase their might;
Let them come near to speak and see,
The judgment between wrong and right.

Who has been raised up from the east?
One who the Lord gives victory;
With every step takes the beast,
Not to be contradictory.

Nations are handed to Islam,
Mohammad defeating their kings;
Replacing them with an imam,
And with Sharia Law he brings.

With his sword he turns them to dust,
Beheading pagans by the wind;
Raping women because of lust,
Chaotic path not disciplined.

Who would have accomplished this feat?
Who set the course of history?
Did the Lord of Host go and greet,
This genocide of misery.

For the coastlands have seen his waves,
The ends of the earth start to shake;
A Trojan horse hungers and craves,
To convert every snowflake.

People are helping their neighbors,
Telling relatives to be brave;
Not to worry of these behaviors,
The Lord will come shield us and save.

You have been servant of the Lord,
Being as one God did select;
Never let your faith be ignored,
Remember He will not neglect.

Taken from the ends of the earth,
Calling you from a distant place;
Because He knows of your true worth,
Let no one call you a disgrace.

Never fear for God is with you,
Allow His wings to be your shield;
Giving support seeing you through,
Because your future has been sealed.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
