Stop Compromising

Date:

The one who holds the two-edge sword,
Says that He knows just where you live;
And knows that Satan is your lord,
Who has been holding you captive.

But you hold up another name,
And have not denied your belief;
It is difficult to proclaim,
For Christ to bring you His relief.

For you were a faithful witness,
Of someone killed in your presence;
But God has faults against you thus,
For your actions do not make sense.

You seem to have no discipline,
In the things that you say and do;
Encouraging sexual sin,
Of thoughts that stray that you construe.

You keep abreast what others teach,
That are venturing in the dark;
Being hypnotized by their speech,
With invitations to embark.

So return and come back with me,
By changing the way that you think;
Or Christ will come and you will see,
He will smash the poison you drink.

He will come quickly out to you.
Wage war against them with a sword;
For He desires to rescue,
So you can get right with the Lord.

Let the person who has the ears,
Listen to what the Spirit states;
For the person who has the fears,
Has only love and never hates.

God gives manna whoever wins,
With the joy and love they will share;
No longer upholds any sins,
Rather showing how much you care.

He will also give a white stone,
Written on it with their new name;
That shows the Father does condone,
And you no longer have the shame

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
