As a prisoner of the Lord,
I am living the kind of life;
With desire of one accord,
As I cope through the midst of strife.
Be gentle as well as humble,
In all you through every way;
So you will not ever stumble,
Never detour and go astray.
Be patient with one another,
Through peace that ties you together;
Lovingly accept each other,
Maintain oneness as you gather.
Try to maintain the unity,
The Holy Spirit has given;
As you maintain your dignity,
About your ticket up to Heaven.
There is one body and Spirit,
The same as called to hope and share;
For knowing what you inherit,
And showing how much you do care.
One baptism and of one Lord,
And one faith in a triune God;
One Father as loved and adored,
That we will still honor and laud.
Who is everything,
Overall and everywhere;
And all the gifts that He does bring,
For all of us to use and share.
His favor is given to you,
Gifts to each woman and to man;
Measured out to us to be true,
By Christ who gave it in His plan.
Jesus went to the highest place,
Took captive who had captured you;
Ensured forgiveness with the grace,
Guiding everything that you do.
What does it mean that He went up,
After going down into the deep;
To rid lethal sin in the cup,
While causing Satan to sleep.
