The Intercessor

I encourage you to make,
Petitions and intercessions;
For God will never forsake,
When making your concessions.

Prayers of thanks for all people,
For all presidents and kings;
They remember the Gospel,
The goodness that Jesus brings.

Pray they have a peaceful life,
In having a reverent way;
Wisdom to handle the strife,
That bombard them through each day.

It is good and pleases God,
To be saved and learn the truth;
Worship to honor and laud,
Never becoming uncouth.

There is one God and Savior,
One mediator for man;
Through Christ, God shines His favor,
Making us part of His clan.

Christ was sacrificed for all,
To free us from our sin;
Picking us up whence we fall,
For purifying us within.

I was appointed to spread,
This Gospel while I teach;
About faith and truth instead,
Convincing as I beseech.

I am not telling a lie,
Rather truth to make you free;
That just Satan would deny,
By being too blind to see.

I want men to offer prayer,
With hands raised and walk the path;
Burdens of the heart to share,
After putting aside wrath.

I want all women to show,
The beauty on how they dress;
With having a modest flow,
That the Lord would surely bless.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
