As a prisoner in the Lord,
I do encourage you to live;
The kind of life in one accord,
Confessing for God to forgive.
Be humble as well as gentle,
Be patient with one another;
And being not detrimental,
Fondly accept as your brother.
Through peace that ties you together,
Always maintaining unity;
With fellowship where you gather,
Having through spirituality.
Just one body and one spirit,
The same manner to share one hope;
One faith for what you inherit,
And one Lord helping you to cope.
One God and the Father of all,
Who is over everything;
And who catches you when you fall,
Blessing you from the good you bring.
For His favor has been given,
Unto everyone of us;
Measured out for reaching Heaven,
By Jesus Christ a gift as thus.
When Christ went to the highest place,
He took captive to give us gifts;
Captured for His glory and grace,
For spiritual vim that uplifts.
What does it mean that He went up,
After to the lowest parts of earth;
Drinking poison out of the cup,
And showing us of His true worth.
The Holy One that had gone down,
Also went up onto Heaven;
Sits on His throne wearing His crown,
Filling all things to enliven.
Make every effort to bond,
Keep unity of the Spirit;
For peace that is going beyond,
That believers through their merit.
