Do not get carried away,
By all the things being taught;
It may make you go astray,
For pleasures that you have sought.
Better to gain inner strength,
From the kindness of the Lord;
Which perseveres of the length,
That such pleasures are ignored.
The strength does not come from rules,
They do not help who follow;
Your faith will have the right tools,
For becoming more hallow.
The chief priest has brought the blood,
Of beasts in the holy place;
To wash instead of a flood,
Because of sin for His grace.
That is why Jesus was crucified,
Outside of the city gates;
Allowed to suffer and died,
Forfeiture that compensates.
He bore to make us holy,
Through the insults He endured;
Being the one and only,
Ever blessed King and Lord.
We do have no place on earth,
That we can call our own;
Just when we see the new birth,
Where the Lord sits on His throne.
Through Jesus we should bring praise,
As sacrifice onto God;
With heart and voice that you raise,
While you honor and laud.
Trust and obey as you live,
Forget not to do good things;
Always learn as you forgive,
Blessed what a sacrifice brings.
