Make haste to answer me,
My spirit has fallen down;
I am too blind to see,
And cannot find my crown.
Answer me quick O Lord,
My spirit is worn out;
I feel to be ignored,
My mind is full of doubt.
Hide not your face from me,
Since I fell in a pit;
I need help to be free,
No longer am I fit.
Let me hear of your grace,
Your mercy this morning;
Let me feel your embrace,
Touch with gentle warming.
For I really trust You,
To know which way to go;
Knowing You tell me true,
Since I long that You show.
Show me to know the way,
Wherein that I should walk;
Guiding me not to stray,
Your words I will not block.
Rescue me from my foe,
I need Your protection;
Please help me so I know,
Guide me which direction.
Teach me to do Your will,
Because You are my God;
May Your Spirit instill,
How to honor and laud.
O Lord keep me alive,
For the sake of Your name;
Help so I can survive,
Enabled to proclaim.
Because You are righteous,
Lead me out of trouble;
To me You are precious,
And saved from the rubble.
