An angel showed me a stream,
Filled with the water of life;
I felt warm and soothing steam,
Which was ridding me of strife.
It was flowing from the throne.
Where God had sat with the Lamb;
I no longer felt alone,
In front of the great I Am.
The throne of God and the Lamb,
Will remain in the city;
No deception nor a sham,
Golden streets shine so pretty.
By a river near the street,
I could see a fruitful tree;
A place I could rest my feet,
Full of life as I could see.
It produced 12 kinds of fruit,
Each month a different kind;
Nourished water through a root,
So pleasant eases the mind.
The leaves of the tree will heal,
So no longer any curse;
Causing illness how I feel,
Sickness making me feel worse.
I worshiped Him as I knelt,
Looking and seeing His face;
Oh how humbled as I felt,
When feeling on me His grace.
His name is on my forehead,
As the night turned into day;
And the sun shining so bright,
No longer will I decay.
For God will rule forever,
Lord of lords and King of kings;
His reign will never sever;
Through grace and mercy He brings.
