I believe that Christianity hasn’t spread as much as it should have done, because people have been guided by the Lord’s servants on how to live a Christian life, rather than by Jesus himself who is the Son of God. Jesus clearly said that a servant isn’t greater than the Master as seen in the following passage:- Luke 6:40 (KJV) The disciple is not above his master: but every one that is perfect shall be as his master.
When people have copied human beings rather than Jesus, it has been a bit like the blind leading the blind. Who is your model that you follow in order to be a Christian? Some people follow human beings but the Bible tells us not to trust in man, and also that man is imperfect, but the only one who is perfect is Jesus Christ. He is the only one who leads us to the Father. John 14:6 (KJV) Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
We are a team and we work for God. No one is better than the other; only Jesus is better as we are all on the same level as seen in Matthew 23:8 (KJV) 8 But be not ye called Rabbi: for one is your Master, even Christ; and all ye are brethren.
Only Jesus is the leader and everyone else are co-workers. Jesus told us that He had come into the world as a light. We therefore have to listen to His words so as not to be condemned as seen in the following passage:
John 12:46-48 (KJV) I am come a light into the world, that whosoever believeth on me should not abide in darkness. And if any man hear my words, and believe not, I judge him not: for I came not to judge the world, but to save the world. He that rejecteth me, and receiveth not my words, hath one that judgeth him: the word that I have spoken, the same shall judge him in the last day.
Jesus never said He wanted teachers but disciples who are taught by God..
John 6:45 (KJV) It is written in the prophets, And they shall be all taught of God. Every man therefore that hath heard, and hath learned of the Father, cometh unto me. John 14:26 (KJV) But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you.
1 John 2:27 (KJV) But the anointing which ye have received of him abideth in you, and ye need not that any man teach you: but as the same anointing teacheth you of all things, and is truth, and is no lie, and even as it hath taught you, ye shall abide in him.
God is our only teacher, and when we let Him guide us, He gives us a discernment to know if a teaching is from Him or not. We are at the end times and if we let God teach us, then we will be able to discern if someone is a false prophet or not.
We have to obey God’s Commandments and if anyone teaches us a different gospel to that which is found in his Word we must not listen to that person, but only God as He is our teacher, as seen in the following scripture. Jeremiah 7:23 (KJV) But this thing commanded I them, saying, Obey my voice, and I will be your God, and ye shall be my people: and walk ye in all the ways that I have commanded you, that it may be well unto you.
If we want to really obey Jesus and not be judged, then we should really spend our time focusing on the Gospels where we have the teachings of Jesus, who is truly “The Way, The Truth and The Life”. Unfortunately these days many churches concentrate on the Old Testament or on St. Paul’s letters, rather than on Jesus’ teachings in the four Gospels, in fact they very rarely read them. Yet the Commandments tell us to put God first. We therefore have to put Jesus who is God in first place, and see how He led His life in order that we can follow Him. Jesus is the only one who can teach us how to have perfect love. Jesus becomes alive in the Gospels, and so in every situation we can ask ourselves: “what would Jesus do in my place?” And then pray and do whatever we believe that He would do. That isn’t being done, and that is why there are many people, who despite having a brilliant knowledge of the whole Bible, are not able to truly love others the way Jesus wanted them to love. On Judgment Day you won’t be judged on a test of your knowledge of the Bible, but instead on your ability to love God and others.
We should give Jesus Christ the victory for transforming us into the people that God intended us to be from the beginning of time. We shouldn’t copy another person because we are not a duplicate of another person, but instead we are each a unique individual. We should always let ourselves be molded by the Holy Spirit and be only taught by God. Jesus will teach us how to love others in our own unique way because everyone does it differently.
The only way to become like Jesus Christ the Son of God is to make Him be our model and put Him in the centre of our lives and to lead radical selfless lives of love.
We have to put Jesus in first place before a priest or pastor and listen to God first because when we have given our lives to Jesus Christ, we belong to Him and owe Him loyalty. If ever we are given advice that is contrary to what the Lord is telling us, then we have to put the Lord first and listen to Him because the Bible tells us not to put our trust in man.
We pray that you follow Jesus’ teaching and imitate His way of life in order to have eternal life and live a victorious life.
