Before we were Christians, we were dead to Christ, but once we have accepted Christ and believe in Him we have become alive in Christ, and are not condemned, but have everlasting life as seen John 5:24 (KJV): Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that heareth my word, and believeth on him that sent me, hath everlasting life, and shall not come into condemnation; but is passed from death unto life.
When you become Born Again, you are born of the spirit and therefore what you have to do is to listen to the Holy Spirit’s promptings and become an imitator of Christ. Yet you still have free will to choose to obey the Holy Spirit or ignore what He is trying to tell you, but if you disobey Him, then you grieve the Holy Spirit. The devil wants you to think that you are dead, but if you have accepted Jesus as your Lord and Saviour, you are alive in Christ as seen in 1 John 3:9 (KJV): Whosoever is born of God doth not commit sin; for his seed remaineth in him: and he cannot sin, because he is born of God.
Therefore do not listen to lies of the evil one because he is the father of all lies as seen in John 8: 44, and you are a product of what you believe in as seen in Proverbs 23:7(KJV): For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. If you believe that you are nothing but a rotten sinner and that the Lord can’t possibly help you, then He won’t be able to help you because you will have erected a barrier between God and you but if you believe that you are dead in sin, then how can you believe that you have been truly forgiven of your sins? If you have been forgiven of your sins and cleansed, how can something that has been clean stay dirty? Either you believe that all your sins have been washed away and no longer exist, or you don’t believe that Jesus has redeemed you and forgiven you and also has forgotten all your sins. See Isaiah 43:25 (KJV): I, even I, am he that blotteth out thy transgressions for mine own sake, and will not remember thy sins and Isaiah 1:18 (KJV): Come now, and let us reason together, saith the Lord: though your sins be as scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they be red like crimson, they shall be as wool.
See how Jesus said that He has set you free as seen in John 8: 34 King James Version (KJV) Jesus replied, “I tell you the truth, everyone who sins is a slave to sin. Now a slave has no permanent place in the family, but a son belongs to it forever. So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed.”
When you have repented of your sins it is Jesus who actually helps you to live like Him as seen in 1 John 2:6 (KJV): He that saith he abideth in him ought himself also so to walk, even as he walked.
Alone you can’t succeed, but with Jesus you can as seen in John 15:4 (KJV): Abide in me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, except it abide in the vine; no more can ye, except ye abide in me.
Remember that God loves you very much and you are a precious to Him and a new transformation who is a beautiful child of God, and God Bless you.
