The Lord is my refuge,
The Most High is His home;
And He will not refuse,
To house me when I roam.
No harm will come to me,
No sickness in His place;
My eyes open to see,
Comfort from His embrace.
His angels in control,
To protect me always;
Assuring that my soul,
Throughout all of my days.
They hold me with their hands,
So I do not stumble;
As I obey commands,
And will never grumble.
I will step on lions,
And trample rattlesnakes;
The Scriptures as weapons,
As God causes earthquakes.
Because He does love me,
God comes to my rescue;
He opens my eyes to see,
Giving me a clear view.
The Lord will protect me,
Because He knows my name;
Ensuring that I am free,
For proclaiming His fame.
When I call to the Lord,
He will answer my call;
For I am not ignored,
When feeling I will fall.
The Lord will be with me,
When I am in trouble;
No matter land or sea,
Saving me from rubble.
God will satisfy me,
With having a long life;
Ensuring I am free,
From the toils and strife.
