Remember you were once a Jew,
And when you had been circumcised;
Because of what some have called you,
That many others have despised.

At that time you were without Christ,
Excluded from citizenship;
Because of becoming enticed,
Having the wrong relationship.

God has made a promise to you,
You had no hope not having God;
Nothing seemed to make sense or true,
As you went through life being flawed.

But now going through Jesus Christ,
Before that seemed so far away;
Brought you near from blood sacrificed,
Stopping you from going astray.

He is our peace being one,
Breaking down the barrier wall;
Being all because of the Son,
Since Adam made the first downfall.

Hostility had kept us apart,
Over the demands of the Law;
But Jesus caused a change of heart,
As the Spirit erased the flaw.

He might create to a new man,
Of the two into one for peace;
Because God had it in His plan,
So that hostilities would cease.

He also brought them back to God,
In just one body by His cross;
Killed aggression that made you flawed,
That has been reversing your loss.

He came to you with the Good News,
Of peace that was so far away;
Which will give you the right to choose,
To give honor and to obey.

You have been built in the Spirit,
Together with many others;
Onto the place you inherit,
Along with sisters and brothers.
