At the proper time,
When we are helpless;
We will pay for crime,
Unless we confess.
But Christ died for us,
Died for you and me;
On the cross as thus,
A disgrace to see.
Finding one to die,
For a sinning race;
It would be a lie,
You would not embrace.
For it would be rare,
One to sacrifice;
And beyond compare,
For someone that nice.
But for showing love,
As what God has done;
Sacrifice thereof,
His one and true Son.
The blood has given,
Approval from God;
To enter Heaven,
When shown we do laud.
The death of His Son,
Saves us from anger;
From past God had done,
As roaring tiger.
The death restored,
A relationship;
If loved and adored,
For companionship.
Jesus our Lord,
Allows us to brag;
And not be ignored,
By flying His flag.
