If you loves Jerusalem,
Please be happy and rejoice;
So never try to condemn,
Those who have another choice.
All who mourn for her be glad,
Giving comfort how they feel;
Let them not try to be sad,
Boosting their spiritual zeal.
You will nurse and satisfied,
Comfort from her suckled breast;
Your delight is amplified,
Giving you a peace at rest.
God will offer you a peace,
Like a river with much wealth;
As hostilities will cease,
Overflowing for your health.
Held in His arms you will nurse,
While cuddled on His lap;
He will guard you from the curse,
Allowing you to take a nap.
He comforts you like a child,
Comforted while you rest;
And so tender and mild,
Nourished by a suckled breast.
When you see God you rejoice,
You will flourish like new grass;
Then with lifting up your voice,
So that the Lord will not pass.
The power of God made known,
His enemies to condemn;
Demolish them as they moan,
Spitting them out just like phlegm.
The Lord will come with fire,
Roaring like a thunderstorm;
Pay them back for desire,
That is making others mourn.
He will judge you with the sword,
But some He will sanctify;
If they abide in the Lord,
And will cleanse to purify.
