I pleaded with the Lord,
To let me enter in;
But like I was ignored,
Because I stank of sin.
I besought at that time,
For letting me come through;
But not confessed my crime,
That has been overdue.
He has only begun,
For showing me how great;
How powerful His Son,
Guards access at the gate.
His greatness and strong hand,
Will stop me in my tracks;
Angels at His command,
His sources nothing lacks.
What kind of god is there,
In Heaven or on earth;
Acts like he does not care,
If I was little worth.
Who can do such great deeds,
Mighty acts God has done;
Only my God succeeds,
Being second to none.
Please let me go over,
See the beautiful land;
Do me this one favor,
I do what You demand.
A beautiful river,
And majestic mountains;
Filled with gold and silver,
Seeing all enlightens.
But the Lord was angry,
Because I not comply;
So much I disagree,
The laws that I defy.
He told me, “Enough said,
Do not talk anymore;
Be glad you are not dead,
Hearing a flaming roar.”
