Even as Christ

Date:

Place yourself under each other,
Out of respect for Jesus Christ;
Being like sister and brother,
And ready to be sacrificed.

Wives have to be under their man,
Under assurance from the Lord;
Allowing him to move his plan,
As long as Christ is not ignored.

Husbands are the head of his wife,
As Christ is the head of the church;
Remaining with her through his life,
Guiding family from his perch.

The church both body and Savior,
Because the church is under Christ;
As He looks on you with favor,
Helping you not to be enticed.

Husbands have give love to your wives,
Just as Jesus has loved the church;
Allow for the rest of their lives,
Leaving new avenues to search.

He had to make the church holy,
By cleansing it and washing it;
Purged with sacred water only,
For being spiritually fit.

So all corruption will halt,
For remaining sacred and pure;
To be holy and without fault,
That imperfection has a cure.

It is more than the spoken Word,
For the church must be without pain;
But as everything is heard,
Being free of wrinkle and stain.

So husbands have to love their wives,
As their bodies loving their own;
Remain through the rest of their lives,
The way the Father would condone.

The body is of many parts,
The same as the church and the Son
Not everyone can be hearts,
But together will become one.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
