What is the source of wisdom?
Where does understanding live?
Does it come from the Kingdom,
Where God decrees to forgive?
It is hidden from the eye,
From every living soul;
Even the birds in the sky,
Do not ever see the goal.
We heard a rumor about,
What destruction and death said;
With our ears that they doubt,
Once you lie in your last bed.
The Lord understands the way,
Knowing what lives in thereof;
For He sees if you obey,
If there is evil or love.
For God sees throughout the earth,
Observed all under Heaven;
Has seen you before your birth,
Love and hate you have given.
When He gave the wind its force,
Checked the water in the sea;
He did not alter its course,
Direction it had to be.
When He made rules for the rain,
Set paths of a thunderstorm;
To cause the growing of grain,
How the rain and sun perform.
Then it was seen and announced,
Be examined and support;
Lightning and thunder pronounced,
The supreme might to exhort.
It is able to be seen,
Supreme power to declare;
Establishing what has been,
As man searches it to share.
So the Lord has told mankind,
Fear of the Lord is wisdom;
That broadens the human mind,
As it flows from His Kingdom.
