Jesus

Date:

What can I say if God is for?
Then who could ever be against;
Who could ask for anything more,
If evil becomes more incensed.

God did not spare His only Son,
But handed Him over to death;
To finish up what had begun,
Hanging on the cross till last breath.

So God will give everything,
To each of us as well as Christ;
For an inheritance to bring,
Causing Him to be sacrificed.

Who would be able to accuse,
That God already has chosen;
After sending Christ who rescues,
The sinful that have been frozen.

For God gave approval of them,
And the reason why Christ had died;
So God would not have to condemn,
Those who are willing to abide.

Christ had died and brought back to life,
With the highest place in Heaven;
And intercedes when plagued with strife,
As the Father has forgiven.

What will separate us from love?
That Jesus Christ allowed to flow;
Can hunger and thirst block thereof,
Or violent persecution bestow.

What would divide us from His love?
While being killed all day long;
Slaughter peace by killing the dove,
As false prophets steering them wrong.

The one who loves gives victory,
Conquering the evil and hate;
Not to be contradictory,
To non-believers and their fate.

Neither life nor death can persuade,
Nor the powers within this earth;
That would have blocked or delayed,
The love of God and priceless worth.

Richard Sherrer is actually retired from the United States Air Force about 14 years ago. He had lived in Korea while in the Air Force in 1972 and 1973. You might be asking yourself what brought him back to Korea. I guess you could say that it was a lot of love here, for the country, the people and especially for a Christian woman that he met on the Internet. She convinced him to return to be with her. So he came originally to teach English in July of 2000. They were married July of 2001. Now turned poet which is subject that is near and dear to his heart. His love for Christ and God is an inspiration to all who read his poetry.
