Passing It On

Open your ears and heart,
To what the Lord has taught;
Enabled to impart,
All that the Lord has sought.

Turn your ears to my lips,
So you can hear His Word;
And you can get some tips,
On the things you have heard.

Words will flow from my tongue,
That explains what has been;
Hidden since it was young,
Exemplified again.

For I will speak a parable,
Utter dark sayings of old;
Maybe deplorable,
To the ones who have told.

The things that we have heard,
And we have known about;
The thoughts your dad has stirred,
That made questions that doubt.

From children do not hide,
Warn their generation;
To obey and abide,
Giving inspiration.

The Lord has done great deeds,
Because of great power;
Fulfilling our needs,
Hour after hour.

We have His instructions,
That Moses has taught us;
Getting pass obstructions,
Without making a fuss.

The next generation,
Will be able to know;
To achieve salvation,
And spiritually grow.

They will not be stubborn,
Or have rebellious hearts;
Continue to sojourn,
Until their soul departs.
