You are abandoned and hated,
No one has been passing through you;
But God will make you elated,
An everlasting source to view.
A source of everlasting pride,
And joy for all generations;
A light that will help you abide,
With God having good relations.
You will drink milk from foreign lands,
While nursing at royal breasts;
And you cope with what life demands,
As you follow what God suggests.
Then you will know He is the Lord,
Your Savior and the Mighty One;
Who is also in one accord,
Through the Father being the Son.
He will bring gold instead of bronze,
And bring silver rather than steel;
With the light as a new day dawns,
That will charge your spiritual zeal.
He will appoint peace to govern,
And righteousness as your ruler;
So no need to have a concern,
No longer are you a loser.
No longer will you hear of death,
Nor ravaging and destruction;
So breathe easier with each breath,
Going through some reconstruction.
You will call your walls salvation,
The sun no longer be your light;
But will soon feel the elation,
Although the moon will not be bright.
Because the Lord will be your light,
And your God will be your glory;
Radiant beauty will give sight,
Throughout your celebratory.
