Why does not God set aside time,
For to issue out punishment;
Do those near Him also do crime?
Will they see the Day of Judgment?
People move the boundary lines,
They are stealing flocks of sheep;
During the night as the moon shines,
As they have seemed to never sleep.
They chase away a nearby mule,
As they take an ox for a loan;
But never follows any rule,
Issued from God upon His throne.
They force the needy off the road,
The poor people tremble with fear;
For they carry a heavy load,
And keep shedding tear after tear.
The poor go out looking for food,
Provide children enough to eat;
As they keep a good attitude,
To clothe and have shoes for their feet.
They harvest food from in the field,
That is normally for the beast;
And the leftover grapes they yield,
Made a grand and glorious feast.
All night long they lie in the nude,
Covering not from cold of night;
But still kept a good attitude,
Waking up to the morning light.
But they were drenched by a shower,
That had come down from the mountains;
A dense downpour for an hour,
As the sky suddenly darkens.
They abduct a nursing baby,
From the breast of a poor woman;
Naked she sits for all to see,
The people walk by as they shun.
People dying in the city,
But God ignores them in His sight;
For rebels He takes not pity,
Since rebels are against the light.
