When the Lord had restored,
The fortunes of Zion;
It cannot be ignored,
The roar of the lion.
It was just like a dream,
As though like being real;
As real as it may seem,
Giving spiritual zeal.
Our mouths were filled with mirth,
The day cannot go wrong;
Living on planet earth,
Tongues with joyful song.
So as the nations said,
On what the Lord has done;
Spectacularly spread,
The things that had begun.
Wonderful things for them,
Spectacular for us;
For He will not condemn,
Us for the wrongs as thus.
So we are overjoyed,
For the restored fortunes;
No longer was destroyed,
Because we are Christians.
For a new destiny,
As He restores the streams;
With peace and harmony,
As tranquil as it seems.
Dry riverbeds now flow,
Stocked with some living fish;
Necessities we know,
To eat a tasty dish.
Those who cry as they sow,
Will see joy as they reap;
During summer they grow,
Then in winter they sleep.
Those who go out weeping,
Lugging his bag of seed;
Will be happy sleeping,
Knowing God helped indeed.
