Walking with God

The Lord heard my prayer,
That I spoke to Him;
I wanted to share,
What made me so grim.

He heard what was said,
By those unto me;
Of the Scripture read,
Rather be carefree.

All is well and good,
On what they have said;
Only if they should,
To do what is fed.

If they would just fear,
Obey His commands;
And to be sincere,
With what God demands.

Then things would go well,
As long as they live;
Then they would excel,
And He would forgive.

They must know the laws,
Rules that must be taught;
To stop making flaws,
From the darkness sought.

Be careful to do,
What the Lord commands;
Since God will tell true,
Within His demands.

Keep living this way,
Follow His guidance;
So you do not stray,
And in compliance.

Then you will live well,
Having a long life;
His house you will dwell,
With aid through the strife.

Your life will be long,
Able you to thrive;
God steers you not wrong,
In all that you strive.
