Whatsoever State

The Lord has filled me with joy,
You showed interest in me;
Not for trying to destroy,
Rather for insight to see.

But you did not have a chance,
For showing any before;
In order as to advance,
With going through the right door.

I am not saying I need,
Whatever that I have earned;
Rather respect to succeed,
Each situation I learned.

For I know just how to live,
Content as poor or wealthy;
Knowing that God will forgive,
As spiritually healthy.

When I am full or hunger,
Have too little or too much;
Just wishing I was younger,
A youthfulness as to touch.

Through Jesus who strengthens me,
To whom I share my trouble;
Every prayer that I plea,
Pulling me from the rubble.

You know since the early days,
We are spreading the Good News;
To everyone who strays,
Sharing to help them to choose.

You gave me what I needed,
What I gave you, you received;
And we both have succeeded,
Because we both have believed.

I will not look for a gift,
For the opposite is true;
I look for you to uplift,
Me in what I will construe.

You have been paid up in full,
Since I have more than enough;
His glory is kind, not cruel,
Through these hard times which are tough.
