When I went to the city,
God had given me a chance;
Showing a little pity,
On those who cannot advance.
Spread the Good News of the Lord,
To whom are poor in spirit;
Letting it not be ignored,
Of what they will inherit.
I did not have peace of mind,
No where to find a brother;
The heathens were not too kind,
About faith of another.
But I always thank our God,
Leading me to victory;
So I will honor and laud,
For I know the mystery.
Wherever I that may go,
God use me making clear;
What it really means to know,
Why Jesus Christ is so dear.
It is just like a fragrance,
That is filling up the air;
On a letter to enhance,
The love with one that you share.
For it is sweet to savor,
The fresh aroma of Christ;
Having Him as my Savior,
After being sacrificed.
Many see me as danger,
Just like a poisonous gas;
From the breath of a stranger,
That will be killing their grass.
While others come alive,
Hearing the life-giving scent;
Waiting for Christ to arrive,
That will cause them to repent.
