Who is God, but the Lord,
Our God is a rock;
And not to be ignored,
He watches where we walk.
God arms me with my strength,
And makes my way perfect;
To persevere the length,
That I will not neglect.
He makes my legs and feet,
Like the ones of a deer;
Enabled to compete,
Where danger may be near.
For it gives sure footing,
On some higher places;
If valleys are flooding,
He always embraces.
He trains my hands for war,
Preparing for battle;
For His Word will assure,
Slaughtered not like cattle.
My arms able to bend,
An anchor made of steel;
For helping me defend,
While He builds my zeal.
The Lord has given me,
The shield of salvation;
With insight as to see,
To build my foundation.
His right hand supports me,
Gentleness makes me great;
From sin making me free,
Able to void my fate.
The Lord makes a wide path,
Where I am walking on;
So fate is not His wrath,
And I see the new dawn.
