Glory and Virtue

Divine power has given,
Everything that we need;
Blessings from God in Heaven,
That will help us to succeed.

All that we need for living,
As we choose a godliness;
Confess for His forgiving,
To receive His blessedness.

For this power was given,
Through the knowledge of One,
Incarnation from Heaven,
Through the Spirit as the Son.

Glory and integrity,
Being the highest value;
Also with a great dignity,
No matter what you pursue.

Through these promises you share,
Divine nature to escape;
And strengthens you in your prayer,
For the Lord changing your shape.

Escaping from corruption,
That sinful desires cause;
Promising your salvation,
When purified of your flaws.

So make every effort,
Adding to your self-control;
So sinful lusts do not flirt,
Invading your inner soul.

Through your faith you can endure,
A virtue of godly love;
Purity to void the lure,
With help from the Lord above.

It demonstrates your wisdom,
From our Lord Jesus Christ;
Flowing down from His Kingdom,
So you do not be enticed.

If it is not in your life,
You are shortsighted not pure;
Vulnerable to the strife,
Can be tempted to the lure.
