Put to death your worldly sin,
The passionate lust and greed;
Start showing more discipline,
Stop desires as a need.
These are sins, that anger God,
Those who refuse to obey;
Causing them to become flawed,
That has made them go astray.
You had lived that kind of life,
Filled with anger and hatred;
Perversion that had caused strife,
Having sleepless nights in bed.
Stop the cursing and the lies,
Avoid evil in the crowd;
Open your ears and your eyes,
Get your head out of the cloud.
As those whom God elected,
Be humble patient and kind;
Do as He has directed,
Let His spirit ease your mind.
Tolerate one another,
Resolving any complaint;
Always forgive each other,
Anger under a restraint.
Forgive as God forgave you,
Lovingly compassionate;
Harmonious to construe,
So bombs do not detonate.
Let peace of Christ rule your heart,
And be thankful what you got;
Letting you get a fresh start,
Remembering what Christ bought.
Anyone who rejoices,
Will display it in their heart;
And are lifting their voices,
Together as to impart.
