Even though I might be free,
From any and all people;
I became a slave to be,
A captive to the Gospel.
I have done this as to win,
More people over to them;
And saving them from their sin,
So the Lord does not condemn.
I followed what Moses taught,
Teachings for those who subject;
To those laws with much distraught,
Because I for one neglect.
I became like a person,
Who does not have the teaching;
So by the time I am done,
I have achieved my preaching.
I have done this to win them,
Even though I know the Law;
So that God will not condemn,
And His Spirit cleans the flaw.
I became like a person,
That was weak in faith to win;
A captive as in prison,
Freeing others from their sin.
For the strengthening of others,
Having a faith that is weak,
And that become my brothers,
Going to the Lord to seek.
You know not for those that run,
For a race to win a prize;
And catching up to the Son,
Who is so noble and wise.
It is training for a crown,
So I run with a clear goal;
Letting life not get me down,
But to purify my soul.
